Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: A small, old-fashioned hotel in rural France that impressed hugely.for various reasons. First the welcoming and friendly host. Then the magnificent dinner, quite beautifully flavoured and cooked, and far superior to anything I have experienced in any other hotel. The quiet country road on which the hotel sits is good for an after-dinner stroll, and there is ample parking space alongside the hotel. The double room was well furnished, with easy chairs provided rather then the one stark desk-type chair found in many rooms of the large hotel chains. Small hotels such as this, individual and full of character, are ever harder to find. How regrettable.
